Craven County Partners In Education announces the appointment of its new Board of Directors, as well as the Standing and Ex-Officio members.

Joining the Board of Directors are Stephanie Edwards, Mike McCoy, and Randy St. Clair. “All three of our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to strengthen the educational opportunities of teachers and students through classroom grants,” explained Don Brinkley, President.

Stephanie Edwards, 2015-16 Teacher of the Year for Craven County Schools is a teacher at Brinson Memorial Elementary. She has been a teacher for 11 years, holds a Master of Arts in Education degree from East Carolina University, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Prior to joining Craven County Schools, Ms. Edwards taught in Pamlico County Schools and at Pamlico Community College. She is an active member and upcoming treasurer for the Alpha Psi chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.

Mike McCoy is the Store Manager at the Wells Fargo branch located on Dr. M.L.King, Jr., Blvd., in New Bern, where he also serves as Assistant Vice President. After graduating from the University of Mount Olive with a degree in Business Management, he moved back to Cove City and worked in retail and insurance prior to entering the field of banking in 2006. Mike is president of the New Bern Twin Rivers Volleyball Club and has recently served on boards for the American Red Cross and Craven Smart Start.

Randy St. Clair is the Principal at West Craven High. Prior to joining Craven County Schools, Mr. St. Clair was principal at Farmville Middle School in Pitt County. He worked in Pitt County as an administrator for six years. Mr. St. Clair earned his Masters of School Administration as well as his Educational Specialist in educational administration and supervision (Ed. S) at East Carolina University.

Partners In Education is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Local Education Foundation for Craven County Schools. The mission of Craven County Partners In Education is to support and advance educational experiences within Craven County Schools through collaborative community involvement.
