Here are a few ways you can jazz your water up a bit and make it more interesting to quench your thirst and cool your body!
Items needed:
– 2 quart pitcher
– Wooden spoon or muddler
– ice
– fruit and herbs
Pineapple Mint Infused Water
Ingredients:
– Sprig of Mint
– 2 cups Pineapple chunks
Directions:
Pull leaves off of the mint stem and drop into the 2 quart pitcher. Use wooden spoon or muddler to bruise leaves and release flavor, add pineapple (muddle), add ice and water. Put in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Citrus Infused Water
Ingredients:
– 1 orange sliced
– 1 lime, sliced
– 1 lemon, sliced
Directions:
Add orange, lime and lemon slices to the pitcher and muddle, add ice and water. Store in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Watermelon Rosemary Infused Water
Ingredients:
– 1 sprig of rosemary
– 2 cups of watermelon
Directions:
Pull leaves off the rosemary stem and drop into 2 quart pitcher to muddle. Add 2 cups of watermelon cubes, muddle then add ice and water.
Raspberry Lime Infused Water
Ingredients:
– 2 limes
– 2 cups raspberries
Directions:
Quarter limes and squeeze juice into the pitcher. Add raspberries. Muddle, add ice and water.
Cucumber and Ginger Infused Water
This drink is a great way to beat the bloat, ginger aids in digestion!
Ingredients:
– 1 cucumber
– 1 inch of fresh ginger (peeled and chopped)
Directions:
Slice cucumber and place in pitcher. Peel and chop fresh ginger and add to pitcher. Fill pitcher with water and ice.
