Swiss Bear Downtown Development Corporation and the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce are happy to announce the fifth Sunrise Business Update will be held Thursday, September 26. Featured speaker, Mike Epperson, Manager, City of New Bern will provide an up-date on the City’s current goals and objects.
Mike Epperson has served as the City Manager since August of 2010. Prior to coming to New Bern, he worked for the City of Dublin, Ohio for 23 years, in several positions including Deputy City Manager. Mike said, “I am passionate about working in local government which provides the opportunity to better serve the people in the community”. He has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Ohio State University and is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Senior Executive Institute.
The meeting will be held 8 – 9 a.m. at Baker’s Kitchen, 227 Middle Street in the second floor meeting room with a full buffet breakfast. The cost, $10 per person, will be collected at the beginning of the meeting.

The speaker for December 5, the last of the 2013 Sunrise Business Up-date series, will be announced at a later date.
Swiss Bear and the Chamber of Commerce are providing this opportunity for the business community to meet and hear presentations from business professionals on topics that are important and timely to New Bern, Craven County and Eastern North Carolina.
