A long time resident of the New Bern community, Garner holds more than 34 years of banking industry experience with a strong foundation in management and leadership. An alumnus of the Leadership Craven Class of 2015-2016, she has been a key member of several banks as Assistant to the Commercial Lender and Mortgage Lender at Centura Bank and Branch Manager at Sound Bank. During her tenure, Garner has been involved in three bank mergers playing a crucial role in seeing that the customers were being treated properly and operations ran smoothly throughout the changes.
