Guest Speaker Zen Priest Ryushin Hart
Life is stressful. Buddhism, as a tradition has devoted 2,500 years to the exploration of navigating through life with minimal stress and pain. We invite you to join us as Zen priest Ryushin Hart shares the foundation for a calm and balanced life from a Buddhist perspective. No previous experience with meditation or Buddhism required.
Ryushin Hart spent 9 years living and training at Great Vow Zen Monastery in Oregon and was ordained as a Zen priest in 2005. Since leaving the monastery, Ryushin has served as a temple priest for Heart of Wisdom Zen Temple and Bend Zendo in addition to co-founding Trillium House, an urban residential training program in Portland Oregon.
The Lecture will be held on August 16, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of New Bern located at 308 Meadows Street.
