Tuesday Topics in the Garden: Fundamentals of Seasonal & Regional Gardening

Adult Enrichment ProgramLead Coordinating Instructor: Jennifer Knight, Knight Cottage Farm

*No experience required. Two hours of Q&A about seasonally current Landscape, Urban Homestead, Beekeeping, Permaculture and Integrated Pest Management. Join the team of local instructors representing Cooperative Extension, Beekeepers Associations, Crop Masters and Professionals in Landscape and Environmental Biology. Each three-month segment includes at least one field trip to an Urban Horticulture destination of interest. Special topic instruction and community gardening opportunities will also be available to students.

Mark and Jennifer Knight are the owners of a local landscape company and are Extension Master Gardeners specializing in urban homesteading and urban wildlife management. Mark and Jennifer volunteer and advocate for children, animals and reintroducing families to the dirt.

The Knights will be joined by Freda Pyron and John Wright. Freda Pyron, is a horticulturist for the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and past Horticultural director at Tryon Palace. She is a Journeyman beekeeper and also president of the Crystal Coast Beekeepers Association. John Wright is an Extension Master Gardener and retired Army Corps of Engineers biologist.
