We caught up with Katherine Beavers and Lee Purcell to find out more about the upcoming 31st New Bern Antiques Show and Sale on February 10 – 12 at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.
You can look forward to 35 dealers coming from the Eastern seaboard, from New Jersey to Florida. Lee said, “They are bringing things from carpets, lamps, antique documents, jewelry” and all sorts of things.
Lee said, “We will have two local Antique Appraisers on Saturday and Sunday from 12pm – 3pm. So ticketholders can bring in up to three items” to be appraised.
Another great feature, “We’re having people from the North Carolina State Treasurer’s Office. So if you have relatives who have been in North Carolina for a long time, you can run their names through the database” to see if they have some “unclaimed savings bonds or insurance company proceeds looking for the rightful owner”, said Lee.
Katherine told us about live music, “We have some Ukulele players and a Ladies Quintet playing the background”.
Tickets are available ahead of time at Mitchell Hardware for $8 per person or you can buy them online and you can purchase them the days of for $10 at the door.
The Antiques Show and Sale is produced by the New Bern Preservation Foundation. For more information, visit NewBernPF.org or check out their Facebook Page.
