Team members from New Bern Get Your Pink On present the CarolinaEast Foundation with a check for $8,800 to be used for assistance with local cancer patients.
The donation presented was a portion of the proceeds from the annual Get Your Pink On event at the Isaac Taylor Gardens in October.
Through various outreach programs and monetary donations, the New Bern Get Your Pink On group supports local organizations who provide direct care for patients and families battling all cancers.
This presentation is the second in a series to kick off a year of bringing more awareness and education about different types of cancer to our community.
Monthly activities are planned in preparation for the annual fundraising event scheduled for Sept. 29 at the Isaac Taylor Gardens.
