Partners In Education recently awarded two grants to Christy Wilson, fifth grade teacher at Ben D. Quinn Elementary.
The grants are part of the 2015-15 Fall Cycle PIE Grants, “Scientific Explorations into the Human Body” ($1,492.16) where students will become engineers by creating parts of the human body, and “Making Math Count” ($1,429.38) where students will use mathematical principals to create a personal budget and plan a Valentine’s Day party, a field trip, and an end-of-year candy store/lemonade stand.
For more information on how you can contribute to the PIE Grant program, contact Darlene Brown at 514-6321.
