Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is a martial art that teaches a smaller person “male or female” how to defend themselves against a larger person. It is a combination of judo and Japanese jiu-jitsu. It is popular around the world and soon to be an Olympic sport. This class will be Mondays and Wednesdays 7pm until 8:15pm beginning June 22 at the Stanley White Recreation Center, 901 Chapman St. The cost is only $20.00 per participant for a 4 week class session. Youth Basketball Fundamentals Camp for boys and girl ages 8 to 13. The camp will be held June 15 thru June 19, 2015 from 9am until noon at the Stanley White Recreation Center located at: 901 Chapman St. This camp will stress the fundamentals of basketball including: passing, shooting, dribbling, and defense. The cost of the camps is $30.00 per child. Parents may register at Stanley White Center along with a copy of their childs’ recent physical. There are a limited number of openings for the camp.
