The Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, in partnership with the sculpture program at East Carolina University is pleased to announce the Seventh Annual Art Sculpture Exhibition. This event is part of a National “Art in the Airport” program, designed to enhance the travel experience of our customers.
East Carolina University students were given the assignment of creating sculptures addressing the theme of “flight” by Professor Hanna Jubran.
A jury, including Airport Director Tom Braaten, viewed many models and selected seven pieces to be created for the event. These seven sculptures will
be at the Airport for a year and one of them will be purchased by the Airport
to become a part of their public art collection.
This event will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Sculpture Park outside the main Airport terminal on Friday, March 27, 2015.
We hope you enjoy viewing these unique sculptures and we look forward to seeing you at the event.
