The snow, ice, and rain that moved in Tuesday morning was enough to close down the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center and force I Love That Lady (ILTL) to reschedule their recognition dinner to March 12, 2015 at 6 p.m.
The 6th annual dinner is the culmination of a year’s worth of fundraising to honor Craven County women for their humanitarian efforts. The event this year will be catered by 247 Craven and feature both a Silent Auction and Teacup Auction to support the awards.
Three women, two finalists and the winner of the 2015 I Love That Lady Recognition Award, will be honored for their volunteer contributions in making life better in Craven County. Each of the women will designate a charity for their monetary award of either $1,000 or $5,000.
The winners are kept secret until they are announced at the dinner. LCA Advertising & Production, Inc. is tasked with making a video with clandestine interviews of friends and colleagues of the selected ILTL – Lady to reveal the winner at the dinner.
There is always room for more at the Convention Center and with the rescheduling the founder of ILTL, Kim Briele says, “Call your friends and come be inspired by these women. It is a heartwarming event, you will need Kleenex. We also happen to have a lot of fun, too!”
To get your seat at the dinner go online to ilovethatlady.com. This year’s dinner sponsors are Bojangles, River City Massage Wellness, and Ward & Smith.
