Mr. Jeffrey Murphy, Principal of Havelock High School, presents Jorge Benitez, Director of Bands HHS, a check for a $1,500 for the Partners In Education Grant he was recently awarded.
This grant was written with the goal of bringing technology into the music classroom. The money will be used to purchase an iPad, HDMI projector, and an Apple TV so that students can interact with a wide variety of music composition, theory software, and music apps.
The requirements for these grants are creativity, innovation, and the activity must be “hands-on.” Partners In Education provides funding and supports the Craven County School System through various programs.
