Crystal Coast Discovery Maps promote New Bern and Eastern North Carolina!

New Bern Now’s “Map Man”, Richard Sheridan, joined us during our video “Shout outs” last week to tell us about his business, the Crystal Coast Discovery Maps.

Thea Kincaid introduced me to Rich a couple of years ago when New Bern Now was only a year old. Since then, Rich has been helping me brainstorm on how to improve the website and Ledger. He believed in NBN and volunteered many hours to strategic developments and enhancements. Rich has truly been instrumental in helping promote New Bern, NC!

Rich is a media professional with 24 years experience working for the publisher of Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, and People magazine. Rich and his wife Sallianne live in New Bern, NC and have three sons.

He purchased the Crystal Coast Discovery Maps last year. Although he wasn’t involved in publishing the 2012 map, Rich hit the ground running! He’s traveled throughout several communities that are featured on the map to include: New Bern, Beaufort, Morehead City, towns between Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle, Swansboro, Cape Carteret, and Cedar Point. He’s working very hard to help businesses and non-profits promote their organizations.

The Crystal Coast Discovery Map is unlike any other in our region! He distributes 200,000 printed maps, you can find interactive maps on the web, he has a mobile app, and you can find the Crystal Coast Discovery Map on Facebook.

Since Rich is part of our Team, the New Bern map is also embedded in the quarterly Ledger (print and online edition) and on our website to give it more exposure.

You can customize your location and the advertiser and location will appear with a link to their website, a link to their Facebook page, their phone number, and they also include directions on how to get there!
