Fairfield Harbour Yacht Club makes a difference by donating to Religious Community Services

Fairfield Harbour has announced the community’s Yacht Club has raised nearly 3,000 pounds of food and $400 in monetary donations to benefit the Religious Communities Services.

A community-based organization founded in 1982, Religious Communities Services actively works to unify local religious organizations in their commitment to minister to the basic and emergency needs of individuals and families in the New Bern area through various forms of assistance and support.

“A guiding philosophy behind our community has been that we help our neighbors whenever possible,” said Larry Knapp, president of the Fairfield Harbour board of directors. “We are thankful for the support and dedication of members of the Fairfield Harbour Yacht Club and the contributions they have made to the Religious Communities Services, as the food and money collected will go directly to assisting local families who need a helping hand.”
