Become part of International Community – Community Mural Project!

We had the opportunity to meet Dominican Republic (DR) Mural Artist Hector Blanco and a few of his fellow artists during our short visit to Craven Community College on Wednesday.

They kicked-off their historical visit with local students by painting a mural in Craven Community College’s Student Center.

You can become a part of History by volunteering to paint murals with the DR Artists at two different locations. They will start at Money Monroe’s property, 1030 Broad Street and paint on November 3, 4, and 5. The project will continue at Mary Peterkin’s property, 912 Queen St on November 6, 7, and 8.

No experience necessary. Paint on November 3 from noon – 5:30pm and 9am – 5:30pm during the rest of the project days.

This is your chance to help “Beautify New Bern Communities”!
