For all of our many, many, animal lovers, mark your calendars. On September 29th, from 5 – 7:30pm, at Union Point in New Bern, there will be a Blessing of the Animals along with a Candlelight Vigil for all the animals who are euthanized each year due to pet overpopulation. We will also be remembering abused, neglected and homeless animals in our prayers.
Come join us in remembering the animals. Bring your special pets to receive their blessing and to pray for those not as fortunate.
There will be booths for our local animal groups as well as a reunion of the New Leash on Life dogs.
Of course, all dogs should be leashed and all cats in a protected environment (carrier). Don’t forget your plastic bags for scooping. This is not limited to dogs and cats. Whatever pets you have and love are welcome. (Birds, horses, Ferrets, etc.)
You might want to bring a lawn chair, blanket and candle. Some candles will be provided. We look forward to seeing you all at The Point. Let’s make this a big event for New Bern and show our love for the animals.
