Blessing of the Animals and Candlelight Vigil
Saturday, October 22, 6 p.m. Union Point Park
Rev. Mary Frances Curns offers the blessing at 6 p.m.
The vigil follows at 6:30 and is for the dogs and cats who have become victims due to overcrowding at the county shelter, irresponsible owners, and abuse.

Colonial Capital Humane Society’s Fourth Fabulous
BBQ Chicken Dinner

In this fundraiser, good eatin’ meets great carin’ for the dogs and cats rescued by Colonial Capital Humane Society. CCHS maintains a no-kill shelter for 50 cats and has 30 dogs in foster care homes. Order today, then pick up your dinner(s) on November 4; orders of 6 plates or more can be delivered free to charge to local businesses.
For $7, you get: half a BBQ chicken, potatoes, green beans, roll, and cookie.
