>Adopt a Trained New Leash on Life Dog!

>

Grady is a white and tan, male terrier mix. He is about a year old and weighs 50 lbs. He is an energetic ball of love. He has a very happy and playful disposition and always has a smile on his face. He will make a great family dog and loves kids.

Grady came into the Craven/Pamlico Animal Shelter as a stray. Who knows how long he was on his own or how he got separated from his family. He has such a happy disposition that it was decided to enroll him into the New Leash on Life program.

Currently, Grady is at the Craven County Correctional Institution where he is being trained by prison inmates to be housebroken, crate trained, leash trained and given basic obedience commands. When he graduates from the program on November 30th, he will be ready to move right into his new home with his forever family. If you are looking for a playful guy that will keep you laughing, give Grady a chance. He will be very appreciative.

Mattie is a black and tan, female spaniel mix with beautiful facial markings. She is about ten months old and weighs 45 lbs. She is very affectionate although a bit shy and timid. She is a quiet dog and just loves to follow you around and be your companion. She would be gentle with any kids in the family and other dogs.
Mattie was turned into the Craven/Pamlico Animal Shelter by owners that did not have enough time for her and she was not housebroken. She won over everybody’s hearts with her gentle, loving ways and has now been enrolled in the New Leash on Life program to give her a second chance.
