Rally to Save New Bern’s Downtown Post Office

Check out the video to learn more about “Losing Our Downtown Post Office is un-BEAR-able” rally organized by a group of New Bern Professional Women who care about our community. During their brief meeting last week they were able to organize, market, and create a grassroots effort in an attempt to save the Downtown New Bern Post Office.

Kudos goes out to: Alderman Sabrina Bengel, Beth Atkins, Barbara Dotterer, Mary Harris, Thea Kincaid, Linda Staunch, Susan Moffat-Thomas, and Kay Williams.

Special thanks goes out to all who attended today’s rally at the Post Office in the O’Marks Building. Your presence showed that people care about the possibility of the closure and shared their opinions on how local residents and businesses will be affected if the Downtown Post Office closes.

You can still make a difference too!

Sign the petition to keep the Post Office open by contacting the Swiss Bear Downtown Development Corporation, 315 S. Front St., 252-638-5781, visit Mitchell Hardware at 215 Craven St., 252-638-4261, or The Boathouse of New Bern, 220 Middle St.. 252-633-5501.
