The Boathouse of New Bern has a new worker at this beautiful nautical gift shop! Toby is a recent graduate of Craven Correctional Institution’s “New Leash on Life” Program.
Kim Glenn, owner of The Boathouse, attended Toby’s graduation on Wednesday (October 6th). It was apparent during my visit today that Toby and Kim have bonded and he is a natural fit to The Boathouse of New Bern! Congratulations, Kim, you picked a winner and thank you for adopting Toby!
Special thanks to Bonnie Compton and volunteers for Pals for Paws for rescuing Toby along with all of your efforts to enhance the lives of abandoned dogs! Also, this adoption couldn’t have happened without the commitment and training of Craven Correctional Institution’s Officers and Inmates to the New Leash on Life Program.

Visit Kim and Toby at The Boathouse of New Bern at 220 Middle Street, Downtown New Bern, 252-633-5501.
What a terrific success story!
