What are your plans for this weekend?
I’m looking forward to the Sudan Shriners Winter Parade tomorrow. Parade participants will gather at Kafer Park at 11am and it kicks off at noon. The parade route will follow George St. to Broad St., down Middle St. and will end on S. Front Street. The winter parade supports Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The New Bern Mall is hosting a Gift and Craft Fair and Babe Ruth Softball Registration this weekend. Please call 252-633-2800 for more information.
The New Bern-Craven County Public Library presents “Cold Mountain” at 2pm tomorrow. For details, call 252-638-7800.
I’m ready to enjoy the Oyster Roast to Benefit Tryon Palace tomorrow from 5:30pm – 8:30pm at the North Carolina History Center. I hope to see you there! For details, call 252-639-3500.
Don’t miss the Neuse Riverkeeper Film Festival tomorrow! It’s scheduled for 6:30pm at Christ Episcopal Church’s Ministry Center, 311 Middle St. For details, call 252-637-7972.
The above mentioned events are only a handful of things to do in New Bern.
There’s also a new entertainment venue in New Bern! I just found out that the Bridgepointe Hotel and Marina opened a Tiki Bar. I’ll find out the details soon. In the meantime, give them a call at 636-3637 for more information.
