October 28, 2009

Did you know that the F11 Grumman aircraft located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd was dedicated to the city in 1973? New Bern’s National Night Out Against Crime Prevention

August 5, 2009
National Night Out

A special “Thank You” goes out to the National Night Out (NNO) Committee, New Bern Police Department, City Officials, Neighborhood Watch Groups, and local residents for making New Bern’s NNO a great success! The NNO was developed to foster relationships between local law enforcement, community neighborhood watch groups, and local residents. Building relationships among these entities ultimately spreads crime prevention and awareness throughout our community. Many community groups joined forces for this event. Thanks again, to all who organized and participated in this wonderful event! Please feel free to share your NNO event experience by posting a comment.

Gray Ladies and Lads

The Gray Ladies have been caring for patients in Craven County since 1951. The Gray Lads joined the Ladies about ten years ago, together, they provide many important services to patients at the CarolinaEast Medical Center. They are the only civilian hospital based Gray Ladies and Lads group left in the state of North Carolina. They transport patients; assist with patient admissions and discharges; run errands for […]
