Craven County Recreation & Parks Department is sponsoring an advanced volleyball clinic. The clinic is run by Coach Al Lee and helps girls become a better passer, server, setter, and hitter. These clinics are designed for girls age 8-11 & 12&up and held at HJ Macdonald Middle School. The 2013 Neuse River Senior Games and Silver Arts will be held April 16-April 25 at various locations in Craven County. Senior Games are for individuals 55 and over featuring competition in many Olympic sports. Silver Arts registrants can participate in Heritage, Literary, Performing or Visual Arts. Special Olympics Craven County has begun sports training for the 2013 season. We are always looking for volunteers, as well as coaches in the New Bern and Havelock areas. Sports currently being offered for the spring season are bowling, basketball, bocce, and aquatics. We also have our annual Spring Games coming up on Thursday, May 2nd.
