- Yellow Brick Road Run
Join the Yellow Brick Run for a 5K, 10K, or mile race on Saturday morning, May 5th at Creekside Elementary School, 2790 Landscape Way, New Bern, NC.
Race registration is now $25. People can register online at: www.runtheeast.com or they can fill out the registration form and send an email to Jami Turner Horton.
All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society in Memory of Nancy Strawbridge. People can register the day of the run, but they won’t be guaranteed a t-shirt.

This year’s t-shirt was designed by a 4th grader, Sophie B. at our school whose grandfather is undergoing treatment for Leukemia!
Nancy Strawbridge was an amazing teacher, mother and mentor. She inspired many of her own students to become teachers. The Co-Race Director Liz Henderson was mentored by Nancy and is now the Physical Education teacher at Creekside Elementary School.
