Two narrators attempt to recreate all 209 of the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm in a wild, fast-paced extravaganza. To make it more difficult, they attempt to combine them into one gigantic fable using Rapunzel, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and other more obscure stories like Lean Lisa and The Devil’s Grandmother.

About Saxx Bradbury Players
This marks the second annual all teen production put on by newly revived Saax Bradbury Players.
After the success of their 2010 debut with The Tell Tale Heart, the Saax Bradbury Players are ready to showcase their comedic timing while performing all 209 Brothers Grimm fairy tales in under an hour.
The Saax Bradbury Players are named for a beloved actress Saax Bradbury who tragically died in a plane crash in 1976. In the mid 80’s a group of teens formed The Saax Bradbury Players in honor of the late actress. Now, 20 years later New Bern Civic Theatre has revived the teen troupe under the guidance of Krissy Boccia who was one of the original Saax Bradbury Players.
This is not just another show performed by teens. Since their debut in 2010 SBP have been involved in several community organizations, The Historic Society, The North Carolina Symphony and this year they will be participating in an outreach program for the performing arts in Pamlico county.
There are 11 members to the SBP. Auditions for the shows are open to anyone ages 13-19.
Mission Statement: Developing future leaders through the performing arts; gaining knowledge, experience, and life skills that will benefit our young adults in arena of their future.
