>You’re invited to attend the first ever Comprehensive Preservation Plan on December 9, 2010, 1:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.
Ever ask yourself what is preservation all about? What are the pros and cons to preservation? And exactly what should we be preserving? Help shape the answer to these questions for the City of New Bern’s first ever Comprehensive Preservation Plan!
A public workshop will be held at 901 Pollock Street – New Bern Art Center at the City Laundry on Thursday, December 9th. The workshop will be an all day event from 1-4pm beginning with a presentation on Preservation 101 by Hanbury Preservation Consultants and followed by a public charette, interactive discussion on:
1. What makes New Bern special?
2. What cultural resources do we value the most as a community?
3. What does the community want to accomplish with the Preservation Plan?
The whole process will start over from 6-8pm.
This is a drop-by at your convenience event and the public is welcome to attend. We need your feedback for this important planning opportunity. Help shape the future of New Bern’s Preservation Program.
