New Bern High School will host BEAR Blast, a student, parent, staff, and community event to support extra-curricular clubs at the school.
This family event will have something to offer everyone and the fun will start at 5pm and last until 7pm. Student club participants will have activities including games, face-painting, and a photo booth. These will be available for a minimal fee ($1 or less) and the funds generated will benefit the club directly.
Clubs represented include Future Business Leaders of America, Interact, Junior Civitan, FCCLA(foods), Robotics, Science Olympiad, Green Team, DECA, HOSA, Thurgood Marshall, Writing, and Cosplay. Additional information and opportunities for students to sign up with the various clubs will be available.
The activities will take place at the sidewalk area at the stadium side of the school building.
BEAR Blast will also include a pep rally with the band, cheerleaders, Terpsichore, and drill team around 6:15pm ending with a fan tunnel for the team to walk through on their way to the field to kick-off the home game against Havelock High School.
A BBQ Dinner will be offered for $7 with proceeds to benefit AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination) for college visit field trips.
Come out to support the BEARS!
