The New Bern Riverfront Convention Center was bustling with action this weekend!
Consumers were searching for home and garden products and services. Some may say people attended for the “free gadgets”, but I’m an optimist and believe the majority of visitors wanted to know what area businesses have to offer. Knowing the cost of promotional items, I declined all of them except a free recycled “green” yo-yo from the Coastal Environmental Partnership – thanks Bobbi!
JoAnne and Ray Gottsleben, owners of “Working Space”, are Garage and Home Organizational Specialists. They were set-up in their mobile workspace – curbside with the prime spot to greet visitors.
Dona Baker was busy answering questions about her “NautiDawgs” business. She’s a Professional Dog Trainer and conducts house visits!
Rodney Baker’s “N.C. Home Shield” business installs reflective insulation, solar products, energy management systems, and conducts energy audits.
Another environmentally friendly group is “Less Means More”, a Craven County Water Conservation Initiative.
It looks like New Bern is moving towards a “Greener Future”!
I would like to shine the spotlight on all of the businesses that were involved with the New Bern Home and Garden Show, but I would be writing for days!
Special thanks to the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center and the Sun Journal for hosting/sponsoring this wonderful event!
