“As a solo-entrepreneur, this mini trade show was created to bring my vendors into New Bern to give my clients a peek at what’s new and exciting in promotional items. And they loved it”, said Thea Kincaid.
During a visit to Religious Community Services (RCS) three years ago and seeing their need for donations, Thea added a food drive to the event. Each year, people bring more food as the pickup truck was loaded with non-perishable goods for RCS. They also collected over $600. This is a true testament of our community’s support for “Christmas in July” and RCS.
Trent Olds Cadillac Buick GMC picked up fresh watermelons from Garner Farms in Newport and delivered them to the DoubleTree. Local businesses and non-profits brought food vs. the price of admission and they received a watermelon in exchange for their donation.
Thea’s vendors showed off a large array of unique promotional products: Joy Jacobs, Pete Strob, Jane Ryan, Jack Keegan, Ben Robeson, Erin Burgess, Nick Ryan, Frank Deaner, Chris Smith, Matthew Kozar, and Kevin Sephton.
Thea had a team of volunteers who worked hard to organize and run the event. This was a classic example of people coming together for the greater good of our community.
The DoubleTree’s Staff did an awesome job as always with outstanding service and delicious food.
