Girls Camp Set for June 16-20
Boys Camp Slated for July 21-25
Tryon Palace’s annual History Summer Day Camps are now open for registration. Two weeklong camps will be held, including “Girls in Ages Past,” a girls camp held June 16-20, and “Sailors and Soldiers,” a boys camp held July 21-25.
“Girls in Ages Past” invites girls in grades 3-5 to explore the ways in which young ladies lived in North Carolina’s past. They’ll participate in numerous hands-on activities including: cooking demonstrations, dress-up, games, natural history activities, and more.
Space is limited to 20 girls and all campers must be registered by Monday, June 2. The cost of this camp is $90 per child, or $60 if purchased by a member of the Tryon Palace Foundation. To register, call Tryon Palace at 252-639-3524.
“Sailors and Soldiers” gives boys in grades 3-5 the opportunity to experience life as a young man from North Carolina’s past. During the week, campers will participate in numerous hands-on activities including: cooking demonstrations, games, natural history activities and more.
