The Twin Rivers Quilters Guild presents 2019 Bee by the River “Seasons for Quilts” Quilt Show. Friday October 25, 2018 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday October 26, 2018 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center, 203 S. Front St., New Bern. Admission is $10 for both days and this includes these wonderful lectures!
On Friday at 2 p.m. and again on Saturday 10 a.m., Lynn Gorges, Textile Conservator and Restoration Specialist, will discuss Sanitary Commission Quilts. These quilts were made in the North for wounded soldiers hospitalized right in New Bern.
On display will be the Stitching NC: The Hundred County Quilt, a quilt made by 125 North Carolina quilters to celebrate, remember, and represent the 100 counties served by the North Carolina Memorial Hospital since 1879.
Come out to view over 300 quilts, multiple vendors, exhibits, the famous Twice Around Treasures booth which has moved upstairs for the added space, the exclusive Guild Boutique and even take a quilt home at the Quilts for Sale booth. The guild’s gorgeous raffle quilt will be revealed!
