Turkey Quarter Campground and RV Park is the perfect place to camp in the natural beauty of Eastern North Carolina! Escape to the great outdoors and take in the beautiful views of heritage flowers and plants, birds, and other wildlife.
I’m an avid camper and have stayed at various campgrounds in the Greater New Bern area and have had a great time, but this is an all new experience! After visiting this quaint and tranquil campground, I’ll definitely be back! Most of the campsites are covered by a hardwood tree canopy accented by rolling hills and spacious sites. The campers were very friendly and the Camp Host, Bobby G. was more than accommodating to any needs you may have!
The owners, Debra and James Corbett welcome all campers from nightly to seasonal guests as they have a campsite to suit your needs! Depending on your camping preference they offer 20 fully equipped RV sites including three pull thru sites for big rigs; three cabins; multiple electric tent sites; primitive tent sites; and group camping. All sites with the exception to some primitive sites are outfitted with a picnic table and fire pit! They also have free firewood waiting for your arrival.
The campground is well maintained and is nestled above Turkey Quarter Creek. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, campground with affordable rates, look no further!
They want you to experience a safe, relaxing, and fun time so you can create wonderful memories to last a lifetime!
Turkey Quarter Campground and RV Park is a place for everyone! From relaxing around your campsite, exploring the great outdoors on one of their nature trails, listening to live music on their entertainment stage, trying your luck fishing, to sitting around the campfire, there’s something to do for all ages.
If you’re visiting from a Northern State, you’ll find out what Southern Hospitality is all about! You may even have the opportunity to taste an “underground ‘Island Style’ clam bake”.
Equestrians traveling with their horses are encouraged to board and ride them on their neighbor’s private Horse Farm. Please contact them if you’re interested to discuss details.
They welcome groups and it’s an ideal place for Boy/Girl Scout retreats, family reunions, and other gatherings.
Their Fellowship Hall can accommodate wedding and anniversary parties, reunions, and large groups. It has a full kitchen including refrigerator, oven/stovetop, table to seat 20 + people and is handicap accessible.
Amenities include: Community Center with pool table, hay rides, laundry, bathhouse with toilets and showers, pet friendly, and more!
Bring your fishing pools and catch bass, brim, and catfish in their fishing pond. If you prefer paddling and/or fishing from your boat, Spring Garden Boat Ramp and fishing pier is five minutes away with access to Turkey Quarter Creek!
We met campers, Janice and Brenda (see above video) and here’s what they had to say, “This is the life”…they camp here a lot and the “owners are great”…“James and Debra are the best!”
It’s only a 15 minute drive to Downtown New Bern where you can explore unique shops, antique stores, and a wide variety of dining experiences, arts and history, outdoor recreation, entertainment, events, sightseeing, and much more!
Turkey Quarter Campground and RV Park is also an affordable alternative to local hotels while you’re visiting, house hunting, or receiving treatment at CarolinaEast Health Center.
Camp Host, Bobby G. encourages kids to “ask your parents/grandparents to take you camping and start living”!
