Great time had at ENC’s Pet Expo 2014

Although Saturday, March 15th was a busy day in New Bern, we had some time to check out the ENC Pet Expo. We hope you did to!

We had a great time watching the Rescue Dog Parade and meeting over 40 vendors to include Veterinarians, Pet Food Manufactures, Pet Stores and Adoption agencies, Humane Societies, Groomers, Boarders, and other businesses and non-profits highlighted in the above video.

Some of the entertainment contests included: Pet-owner Look-Alike Contest, Best Kisser, Best Trick, Best-looking Pet, Bake Sale, Food Vendors, Microchip Clinic, Pony Rides, Howling Contest, and Fossil Dig.

Thea Kincaid of Thea’s Ideas interviewed Dona Baker of Masterful Dog Training during the video. Dona emphasized that the Expo’s admission fees and raffles benefited Craven County Animal Shelter, Colonial Capital Humane Society, Pals for Paws/New Leash on Life Program, Coastal Carolina Boston Terrier Rescue, Southern Belle Pit Bull Rescue, U.S. Equine Rescue League, and other rescue agencies.

Special thanks to rescue groups and volunteers; local sponsors; and the Craven County Jaycees for providing the Fairground as a venue.
