NBN’s goal is to promote the Greater New Bern area businesses, non-profits, events, and more!
Although we’ve been publishing local events, business and non-profit listings along with numerous other things, we want to help you increase your client/customer base.
We’ve researched and found at least 25% of businesses/non-profits aren’t online. If you’re in that population, you are missing out on reaching thousands of potential clients/customers!
With that said, I want to share what I’ve learned about the value of “Online Visibility”. These days, it could really make or break a business or non-profit if you don’t have an online presence.
Here are two examples:
1. Let’s say you are an attorney, mechanic, psychiatrist, dentist, or other occupation and someone searches for your name on Facebook (FB). If you don’t have a FB page, there may be a “mock page” that was generated with false information about you. People who visit the “mock page” will see attorneys, mechanics, psychiatrists, dentists, etc. that have active FB pages and they will call upon them because “they seem to know what they are doing” vs. someone with a “fake page”.
2. Another example is that you started a business/non-profit FB page, but didn’t know what you were doing and give up. People who visit your page a year later think that you’re out of business because you haven’t updated it and go elsewhere…bottom line…you lose those clients/customers.
These are only 2 examples of FREE missed opportunities that happen to be Facebook related. There are numerous social media outlets to include Twitter, Linked In, Google+, Pinterest, and many more that you may be missing out on.
After talking with a few local social media experts, we are considering hosting a “Social Media Summit” to help area businesses and non-profits reach “prospective” clients/customers” by promoting their business online.
I believe every business/non-profit should have an online presence. If you don’t, you are really missing out! There are all kinds of ways that you can promote your services and products for free. We can help you!
Before we plan an actual Social Media Summit, we want to know if it’s worth our time.
