The Holiday House opened just in time for the Christmas Holiday season.
Owner, Wanda Kay Thompson, was happy to tell me more about her quaint and elegant shop. When asked what she wants the public to know about her store, she said, “We want to have something for everyone to be able to afford”.
She explained that The Holiday House isn’t just for Christmas “as everyday is a holiday”. She plans on decorating the Seasonal room for all occasions.
The shop is comprised of the Whimsical room, Seasonal room, Primitive room, Big room, and Contemporary room.
Strolling through the themed rooms, certain items caught my eye and brought back memories. Specifically, I noticed Maine Blueberry Syrup accompanied by a blueberry pancake mix and it reminded me of my travels to Acadia National Park.
They have an eclectic array of tasty treats from dips, chips, pretzels, chocolates, soups, candy, to peanuts, cookies and other comfort food items.
I believe The Holiday House is a must visit shop that offers a variety of products.
Step back in time in the Primitive room outfitted with things you would see in an old fashioned general store.
They have everything from home decor, elegant jewelry, candles, picture frames, furniture, body soaps and lotions, figurines and dolls, to ornaments, ceramics, wreaths, and much more!
Wanda Kay and her husband, Tommy Thompson, are excited with their new venture. They are seasoned business owners as a lot of people know Wanda Kay from The Wanda Kay Dance Studio in New Bern. They also owned a shop in Bath, NC.
