The Croatan National Forest and North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission are sponsoring a FREE Kid’s Fishing Day!
Come and join us at Cedar Swamp Pond in Newport, NC, on Saturday, June 9th from 8am to Noon.
Kids 15 & under fish for free, please have one adult for every two children participating. Bring your own tackle and bait if you can, however limited tackle and cane poles will be available. A free lunch will be provided for all participants.
Cedar Swamp Pond is located just south of Newport off of Hibbs Road. From Newport, take Highway 70 east and turn right onto Hibbs Road then turn right onto Transfer Station Road and turn left at the white gate.
