>Volunteers Needed at Emergency Animal Shelter

>

The Humane Society of United States has an emergency shelter set up at Craven County Fairgrounds to house displaced pets from hurricane Irene. They are seeking volunteers to help in the shelter.

You can also just show up between 8am and 5pm and ask for Tara or Jennifer. They are in charge of the shelter. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Prepare to get dirty and exhausted but feel rewarded at the end of the day!

If you can help, please call Debbie Ham at 252-670-2548 for any questions.
