The New Bern office of the Neuse Riverkeeper Foundation (NRF) is holding another Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, August 27th from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM at our location at 1307 Country Club Road.
We will be serving pancakes with farm-raised sausage, coffee, juice and fruit. In addition to the breakfast, we will be holding another educational session as a continuation of a series to better keep you informed about the environment around us.
On Saturday, August 27th, our guest speaker will be Mr. John Klecker. John is a dedicated volunteer for the NRF, and has a background in laboratory supervision and a strong science background. John will be talking about, and demonstrating, a piece of equipment that we refer to as a YSI. The YSI is a water quality monitoring probe that the NRF was able to purchase using grant funding, and is a very valuable tool in assessing water quality issues in “real-time”.
Come learn about this piece of equipment and the role it will play in the NRF RiverWatch Program.
I promise you won’t go away hungry.
Please RSVP to this email if you plan to attend.
