>New Bern, NC – Expectant parents and parents with young children are encouraged to attend the 2nd Annual Baby Expo on August 13th from 11 am – 3 pm at the New Bern Mall. The Baby Expo is being hosted by the New Bern Mall and is sponsored by the Sun Journal and The Portrait Cottage.
In addition to several mall tenants, the event will feature vendors and non-profits that specialize in infant care, products and services. The event will also feature children’s activities and demonstrations by local groups, including Craven Smart Start; Gold’s Gym; Green Bear Fitness and Down East Dance; between 11am to 2pm at center court between Zales and Rue 21. A kids’ fashion show featuring fashions worn by young models with assistance from their parents will start at 2pm and will round out the activities for the day. The event will also include a car seat clinic and door prizes.
According to organizers, twenty-six vendors, representing a variety of local businesses and non-profits, will be on-hand to showcase their products and services and to share information about infant-toddler development, child safety, car seat safety, early care and education, local resources and more. “We are very excited to again participate in the Annual Baby Expo in the New Bern Mall.” according to Pinkie Moore, Community Outreach Coordinator with Craven Smart Start, Inc. “This is a wonderful opportunity for parents who are expecting or have young children to familiarize themselves with area resources and services and to learn about products for infants and toddlers.”
