New Bern, NC – With a recent study showing a nearly 80 percent increase in smartphone shipments from a year ago, there are plenty of first-time smartphone users who may want a little help figuring out everything their advanced phones have to offer. U.S. Cellular is hosting a free workshop on Saturday, April 30 at 8:30 a.m. at 3180 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in New Bern to guide attendees through all of the functions and features of Android-powered devices, BlackBerry and Windows smartphones. All questions are welcome from current and potential smartphone users, and the workshop will cover both basic and advanced uses.
Associates will answer questions and demonstrate common features such as e-mail access, web browsing, calendar synchronization and browsing for apps. Attendees can also learn how U.S. Cellular’s high-speed nationwide network can boost their smartphone experience. U.S. Cellular has the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any national carrier.
They will also learn about the benefits of The Belief Project, the company’s array of innovative initiatives that recognize customer loyalty with bundled national plans that offer customers the freedom to enjoy benefits without signing continuous contracts. With “no contract after the first,” new customers who complete a two-year contract will never have to sign another one and will continue to get guaranteed upgrades to the newest phones at promotional prices every 18 months. Customers get valuable rewards just for being customers and can get even faster upgrades in as little as 10 months when they use their rewards.
“Device Workshops are great for new smartphone owners or anyone who wants to make sure they are getting the most out of their handsets. Our associates enjoy helping customers personalize their devices to fit their lifestyles,” said James Phillips, store manager for U.S. Cellular.
Several of U.S. Cellular’s value-packed bundled plans are a perfect fit for smartphone users. The $79.99 Primary Plus Plan is the best value in wireless and offers 5GB of data with unlimited text, picture and video messaging. The monthly service plan also comes with 450 voice minutes with free incoming calls, free nights and weekends and free mobile-to-mobile calls.
The Device Workshops are open to current smartphone owners and anyone interested in upgrading to a smartphone. Attendees do not have to be U.S. Cellular customer.
Device Workshops are being offered each month at U.S. Cellular retail stores across North Carolina. All smartphone accessories will be 25 percent off. The next device workshop is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at 8:30 a.m. at 3180 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in New Bern.
