With water temperature in the 40s, a group of New Bern High School Junior Civitans and their supporters took the “Polar Plunge” into the Trent River yesterday.
Donations benefit the Shepherds That Attend Father’s Flock (STAFF) House, assisting “young women who are victims of domestic violence, pregnant, and in need of shelter”.
Spectators cheered the group on as they took the plunge at the BridgePointe Hotel and Marina’s beach.
