New Bern, NC – Joseph and Joyce O’Callahan of Ghosts of New Bern™, the very popular walking tour of the Downtown Historic District, announce the publication of their book, Ghosts of New Bern. From a story about loud hauntings in one of New Bern’s finest homes, to a chilling paranormal experience described by a university professor, to the famous New Bern legend about the sisters in the attic, Joe and Joyce have captured these and many other stories in Ghosts of New Bern. You’ll read about many of the tales that they tell on their entertaining and thrilling tour, now in its fourth year of operation.
Joe and Joyce explain that the stories in Ghosts of New Bern come from three primary sources. “We have researched what has been written about the paranormal in New Bern and you will read some of those stories. You’ll also read credible stories that have been told to us by individuals who have experienced what they believe to be genuine paranormal events – sometimes even on our tour. Finally, you’ll read about what we call “New Bern Legends,” those stories that are a part of life for New Bernians.”
