Who: Craven/Pamlico MADD Chapter
What: Tie One On Campaign
When: Friday, December 17, 2010 at 9 am
Where: Twin Rivers Mall in the Police Substation Parking Lot, 3134 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, New Bern, NC
Why: The red ribbon is a symbol of the drivers pledge to drive safe, sober and buckled up. Additionally, MADD asks the public to Tie One On For Safety in support of MADDs Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving. Tie One On For Safety runs through New Years Day when road travel is the heaviest of the year and typically drunk driving increases. On Friday, December 11th, MADD members along with local law enforcement will Tie One On Police Departments and personal vehicles at the New Bern Police Department Substation Parking Lot at Twin Rivers Mall.
Citizens will be able to pick up reb ribbons for their vehicles at New Bern PD George Street and Mall Substation locations during this kick off as well as at any time in the future.
