>“Spotlight on Flemming Chiropractic and Health Center – Whole Child Wellness”

Do you have a child or know someone suffering with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Autism, Dyslexia, or other disorders leading to learning, behavioral, and developmental issues?

Then contact Dr. Lois Flemming, owner of Flemming Chiropractic and Health Center, to see how she can help your family and/or friends enhance the quality of life of a loved one! She has been practicing  Chiropractic Care in New Bern for over 20 years.

Some people automatically assume Chiropractors only treat people with “back/join paint”. This is not true! Dr. Flemming also helps patients suffering from a multitude of disorders to include those listed above and many more!

She takes a “Whole Child Wellness” and holistic approach to tackle these disorders versus the use of traditional medicine – drugs.

Many traditional medicine practitioners treat patients exhibiting behavioral, developmental, and learning disorders with medications like Ritalin (which has many side effects that can last a lifetime). To read more about Ritalin side effects, visit the National Library of Medicine, National Institute of Health’s website: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682188.html.

During a recent visit with Dr. Flemming, I learned neurological mechanisms involved in many of these disorders are very similar. Clinical studies indicate they are the consequence of the underdevelopment of either side of the brain, but are more prevalent on the right side of the brain. The neurological imbalances can be caused by brain, dietary, environmental, and/or metabolic defects. Some disturbances in the brain can be caused by a number of factors to include: food allergies, heavy metals, dietary insufficiencies, sleep deprivation, and others.

Dr. Flemming focuses on evaluating and balancing the brain by using a “Brain Wellness Pyramid”. She conducts a comprehensive health assessment to include a questionnaire; review of patient’s medical history; physical examination; laboratory tests to detect underlying conditions; and hair analysis to determine the presence of heavy metal.
Her goal is to open the pathway from the muscles to the brain without the use of Ritalin or other brain stimulating medications. For detailed information, become a follower of their Whole Child Wellness Blog: http://www.wholechildwellness.blogspot.com/.
Therapy can include physical and psychological activities to help stimulate the right side of the brain. Dr. Flemming and her trained Chiropractic Assistants use computer games to increase timing, chiropractic care; special glasses, scented oils; soothing music; counseling; and brain balancing homework as catalysts to improve whole body wellness.

Numerous patients have significantly improved their attentiveness, balance, coordination, and strength within the first three to six months of these therapeutic sessions.

Dr. Flemming conducts FREE ADHD Workshops. Contact her office to register for the next workshop or to learn more about how she can improve your child’s quality of life: Flemming Chiropractic Wellness Center, 3601 Trent Road Village Square, New Bern, NC, 28562, http://www.drflemming.com/, 252-638-6062.

Thank you, Dr. Flemming, for your time! My visit was an enlightening experience!
