Craven Community College (Craven CC) will remain closed through Sunday, Sept. 30 to help students, faculty and staff recover from the devastating impacts of Hurricane Florence.
“The safety and well-being of our community is our highest priority,” said Dr. Ray Staats, Craven CC president. “Right now we want everyone to continue focusing on helping their friends and family recover. The classroom will be waiting for them after we’ve had a chance to help our community come together and rise above this emergency.”
Craven CC will be adjusting academic schedules to accommodate students who were to start classes this week, as well as for completing courses that were already in progress. Students may find schedule updates on the college website that will be posted as soon as they are available.
College leaders and key staff will continue recovery activities next week. Those needed to assist with these critical efforts will be contacted by their direct supervisors.
Additional updates will be reported through the college’s emergency notification system and social media as they are available. For updates on closures and schedule changes at Craven CC, visit CravenCC.regroup.com/signup.
