Thursday, June 21, 2:30 p.m. – Summer Reading Program Kick-Off (Birth – 5th grade) Auditorium. Registration begins June 7. Let us take you away on a Magical Mystery Tour to kick-off our Summer Reading Program: Libraries Rock! with special guest magician and storyteller, Gary Shelton.
Saturday, June 30, 3:00 p.m. – Family Movie Day (All Ages) Auditorium. Registration begins Saturday, June 23. A Tibetan mastiff living in a remote mountain community dreams of being a rock star. But when he heads to the big city to seek his fortune, his unprotected flock of sheep are preyed upon by a hungry wolf. Rated PG. Photography Rocks Amateur Photography Contest
Open to everyone age 6 and up.
Applications are required for each entry and may be picked up beginning June 18 in the library or printed from the library’s website.
All entries must be submitted to the Adult Reference Desk by July 23. No emailed, faxed, or framed entries will be accepted.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st & 2nd place in three age categories: 6-12, 13-17, and 18+.
Libraries Rock Songbook
Attention amateur composers: Everyone age 6 and up is invited to submit an original composition for addition to our Libraries Rock Songbook.
When completed, the songbook will be on display in the Adult Reference Department.
Applications are required for each composition and may be picked up beginning June 18 in the library or printed from the library’s website.
All compositions must be submitted in paper format to the Adult Reference Desk by August 4. No emailed or faxed compositions will be accepted. Please see the application form for complete guidelines.
