Bern Pilates, a fully-equipped STOTT Pilates studio located in the historic Dunn Building downtown, is excited to announce that Kelly Miller will be joining the team as an instructor this month.
Kelly discovered Pilates after taking time off to raise her two daughters and instantly felt a connection to this method of movement. She decided to explore another career path and began her training with STOTT Pilates. Kelly is a STOTT Pilates Certified Instructor in Matwork and Reformer, trained in Stability Chair, Injuries and Special Populations, and Total Barre.
By understanding the importance of mindful movement, Kelly takes a special interest in helping those rehabbing from injuries. When she’s not in the studio she enjoys refinishing furniture, reading, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family. One of Kelly’s favorite tips for those new to Pilates is: “Honor the individual design of your body.”
Owner and New Bern native Maureen Rose says, “One of the big reasons we moved to our new location was to expand our class sizes and the number of classes we offer every week. As part of that expansion, I’m thrilled to welcome Kelly to the team. No matter your fitness level, she can work with you to transform the way your body looks, feels, and performs.”
To celebrate Kelly’s arrival, the studio is offering a 10% discount in February on all group equipment classes and all sessions made by appointment.
Bern Pilates caters to clients at any fitness level and instructors can tailor the programs offered to fit specific needs. It offers private, semi-private, and group sessions and also features state-of-the-art MERRITHEW equipment—Reformers, Cadillac, Stability Chairs, and Barrels. You can find the studio on the second floor above Peacock’s Plume, on the corner of Craven and Pollock Streets, in the historic Dunn Building.
