Craven Smart Start will host a Craven Early Learning Network meeting on Wednesday, August 30th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the University of Mount Olive, located at 2912 Trent Road in New Bern. The meeting will feature a presentation about the military family and the Cherry Point resources that are available to them. Leafa Palmer, School Liaison Officer, and Johneiqua Smith-Griffin, Information and Referral Specialist, both from the Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station will speak at the meeting. Craven Smart Start will share information about several children’s literacy initiatives. The meeting will also include agency sharing and announcements regarding upcoming events for families and children.
The meeting is designed for organizations, groups and individuals who are interested in learning about local resources that can assist families with young children during their early learning years from birth to five.
