Meet the First North Carolina Regiment of the Continental Line during Revolutionary War Day at Tryon Palace on Saturday, Aug. 19. Throughout the day you’ll enjoy many hands-on opportunities to experience the culture and life of wartime New Bern.
Activities are ticketed and may be enjoyed by visitors of all ages:
– Explore the life of the Revolutionary War soldier at an encampment
– Play soldiers’ games and learn about civilian medicine
– Hear fascinating stories about the roles native New Bernians played during the American Revolution.
– Black powder firings at 10:30am and 2:30pm
